Dr. Adam L. Johnson, MD

Dr. Adam L. Johnson, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in breast surgical oncology. He completed his general surgery residency at Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA) Midwest, and is currently completing a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Allegheny Health Network.

Dr. Johnson’s expertise encompasses a wide range of surgical procedures and he is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality surgical care. His clinical experience includes minimally invasive techniques and the management of various conditions. He has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, evidenced by his participation in the Menorah Medical Center Diversity and Inclusion Council. Furthermore, he is actively involved in medical education, serving on the Menorah Medical Center Continuing Medical Education Committee and as an academic administrator, designing and implementing the academic curriculum. His dedication to patient well-being extends to his founding role on the Menorah Medical Center Wellness Committee.

Dr. Johnson's commitment to advancing surgical knowledge and skills is evident in his work as an organizer and lecturer for several educational programs, including Introduction to Focused Assessment with Sonography for Trauma (FAST), and Introduction to Breast Ultrasound. His research experience includes projects focused on breast cancer awareness, prevention strategies, and the assessment of general surgery residents’ attitudes toward FAST training, resulting in several publications and presentations at national and international surgical meetings. Prior to his surgical career, Dr. Johnson pursued research in prebiotic chemistry at Harvard University.

He is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons, reflecting his dedication to staying current with advancements in surgical practice. He is also actively involved in community service, including work with Young Women's Breast Cancer Foundation and creation of medical exposure programs for high school students. Dr. Johnson's professional background also includes significant experience in the United States Air Force Reserve Command.
